A community garden is taking shape in Parrish
Manatee County and UF/IFAS are planning a community garden at Parrish Community Park, 7550 Fort Hamer Road, Parrish, Florida. The proposed garden would include individual plots and shared areas featuring fruit trees, giving neighbors a place to grow and learn together.
In newly reported details from October’s Parrish Civic Association meeting, staff described a $25 annual membership covering a plot, tools, water and gardening expertise. Residents also offered design ideas. There is still planning ahead: construction, opening and signup dates have not been announced. Read the Beacon’s garden report.
